M.S. in Computational Mathematics, Science and Engineering

At present, we are not accepting applications for admission directly to the M.S. program in Computational Mathematics, Science and Engineering - only to the PhD program.  We anticipate that we will launch a Master's Degree in Data Science (jointly with the Department of Statistics and Probability and Department of Computer Science and Engineering), but do not yet have a timeline for that announcement. Likely the MS will not be offered before Fall 2021, a change from earlier estimates of Fall 2020.

The overall goal of the Master's program in Computational Mathematics, Science and Engineering is to educate and inspire students in the interdisciplinary areas of science and engineering focusing on the intersection of algorithms, applications, and data. The degree offered will be a M.S. in Computational Science and Engineering.

This Master's program gives students broad and deep knowledge of the fundamental techniques used in computational modeling and data science and significant exposure to at least one application domain.  A more detailed description of the program can be found in the Graduate Handbook.
