CMSE 890 (Sect. 301) - Programming Foundations for Bioinformatics - FS17


The CMSE Department will be offering a graduate course on Computational Methods for Uncertainty Quantification taught by faculty member Alexis Black Pyrkosz. This is an introductory course for scientists to learn programming in Unix and R with examples in bioinformatics. Students will learn to download and manipulate large data files on the MSU HPCC with Unix, install R and R packages, write and execute programs in R Notebooks, and manipulate and graph biological data. No programming experience is necessary.
