CMSE Faculty Claudio Kopper, Sean Couch and Wolfgang Kerzendorf Take Part in Project Funded $2.8 million to Develop SCIMMA Framework

CMSE faculty members Claudio Kopper, Sean Couch and Wolfgang Kerzendorf are part of a multi-institution effort funded $2.8 million dollars by the National Science Foundation(NSF) grant to develop a framework for a Scalable Cyberinfrastructure Institute for Multi-Messenger Astrophysics, or SCIMMA, that would allow data intensive discovery from researchers around the world in multi-messenger Astrophysics.

Advancing Medical Treatment with RNA Sequencing

Kayla Johnson is a graduate student studying human genetics at MSU. She works under Dr. Arjun Krishnan to find systems and patterns of genes that correlate to certain diseases and to understand how these are impacted by a patient’s age, sex, and the tissues specific to the problems exhibited by the patient.
