Murillo Group Proposes New Method For Creating Controllable Plasmas

The Murillo Group has been published in the New Journal of Physics, a joint publication of the Institute of Physics and the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft. Based on a suite of molecular dynamics simulations, they proposed a strategy for producing non-ideal plasmas with controllable properties over a wide range of densities between those of ultracold neutral plasmas and those of solid-density plasmas. 

The New Journal of Physics is online-only, open-access, peer-reveiwed scientific journal covering research in all aspects of physics as the central theme. The journal is owned and run by scientific societies, and selection of content, as well as the peer review, is managed by a prestigious international board of scientists.
