Devin Silvia Received the Withrow Teaching Excellence Award
Please join us in congratulating CMSE Undergraduate Director - Mr. Devin Silvia for receiving the Withrow Teaching Excellence Award. Mr. Silvia is a computational astrophysicist and education researcher working to understand how the gas around galaxies influences intergalactic star formation and how students learn to do computational science. He's committed to making science more equitable and inclusive through education and outreach.
The Withrow Teaching Excellence Award, based primarily on student nominations, recognize faculty who have created effective, enthusiastic learning environments, are accessible and dedicated to advising and mentorship. This award is a part of the 35th Annual Engineering Awards - the highest recognition the college can bestow, and winners represent outstanding talent, dedication, and excellence in various positions throughout the Spartan Engineering community.
