High school mentee named top 300 scholar in Regeneron Science Talent Search
Assistant Professors' Longxiu Huang and Yuying Xie high school mentee from the High School Honors Science, Math and Engineering Program, Matt Yang, was named a top 300 Scholar in the Regeneron Science Talent Search! The project,
MultiFormer: Single-Cell ATAC to RNA Prediction Framework, he used for the competition was done at MSU in summer 2023.
Matt Yang, a 17 year old student at Wellington C. Mepham High School in New York,
is the first high-school mentee from CMSE to win this prestigious award.
